Negromancer Reviews "The Amazing Spider-Man"

I forgot to mention this in a post last week:  I reviewed the new Spider-Man reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man at my blog, Negromancer.

Keeping with this theme of forgetfulness, I neglected to mention James Horner's lush and rich score for the film.  At times, the music is playful, reminding me of Danny Elfman (who scored Sam Raimi's Spider-Man films), and other times it is poignant and moving for the intimate character scenes.  Horner's music pounds, sweeps, and soars for the superhero action scenes.  Horner establishes the mood and atmosphere and accentuates the action without taking over the movie.  Good stuff from a great film composer.
