NEWS:

MARVEL - From ScreenRant:  With the "Reckoning War," Marvel basically admits that its event comic book crossovers usually don't matter.

DC COMICS - From ScreenRantHawkgirl's new costume might make her the Justice League's Wolverine.

MARVEL - From StarWarsMarvel Comics has announced a comic book adaptation of the Disney" series, "The Mandalorian."  The eight issue series will adapt each of the first season's eight episodes.  Rodney Barnes ("Killadelphia") will write and Georges Jeanty will draw.

SONY SPIDER-MAN U - From RadioTimes:  Actor Charlie Cox went to a theater near where he lives to see how people react to his appearance in "Spider-Man: No Way Home" as "Matt Murdock/Daredevil" was not pleasantly surpised.  But he says he will reprise Matt Murdock in a future Marvel Cinematic Universe project.

MANGA - From ABCNews:  Graphic novel imprint, First Second, will publish an English-language edition of Oscar-winner Hayao Miyazaki's 1983 graphic novel, "Shuna's Journey," on November 1st, 2022.

SONY SPIDER-MAN U - From WeGotThisCovered:  Visual effects company, Digital Domain, was still working on VFX for "Spider-Man: No Way Home" a month after the film was released to theaters.

DARK HORSE - From BleedingCoolDark Horse will collect writer Roy Thomas and artist Pablo Marcos's Tarzan webcomics in the hardcover, "Tarzan of the Apes Volume 1," in August 2022.

COMICS - From BleedingCool:   Writer Becky Cloonan and Michael W. Conrad and artist Liam Sharp will launch the new series, "X-O ManoWar: Unconquered," from Valiant Comics in November 2022.

COMICS - From BleedingCool:  Author Margaret Atwood and author/comics scribe Neil Gaiman are among the contributors to a comic book anthology, "Little Earthquakes: The Graphic Album," which will contain 24 stories inspired by the 12 songs from "Little Earthquakes," the 1992 album by Tori Amos.

MARVEL STUDIOS - From WeGotThisCovered:  The site claims to have set photos from the upcoming Disney+ series, "Secret Invasion," starring Samuel L. Jackson.  The photos reveal a "Skrull" character.

DC MILESTONE - From BleedingCool:  DC Comics' "Milestone Universe" is now known as "Earth-M," and it is expanding with "Duo," a new comic book from writer Greg Pak and artist Khoi Pham.

From DCBlog:   In a Q&A, the creative team of Greg Pak, Khoi Pham, and Scott Hanna introduce "Earth-M" title, "Duo."

EN MEMORIAM - From BleedingCool:  Comic book writer, novelist, and poet, Tom Veitch, has died at the age of 81.  He was best known for his work on "Animal Man" and "The Nazz" for DC Comics; "The Light and Darkness War" (Marvel); and Dark Horse Comics first "Star Wars" comic book, "Dark Empire" and its sequel, "Dark Empire II."  His brother was comic book creator, Rick Veitch.

DC TV/SANDMAN - From EmpireNeil Gaiman talks about the Netflix adaptation of his legendary comic book series, "The Sandman."

MANGA - From CBR:  42-year-old manga-ka Atsushi Okubo, the creator of such manga as "Soul Eater" and "Fire Force," says that he has just turned in the last chapter of "Fire Force," the final manga of his career.

MARVEL - From BleedingCool:  Writer Chris Claremont's five-issue "Gambit" miniseries will be drawn by Sid Kotian, and the first issue will arrive May 2022.

IMAGE COMICS - From BleedingCoolSkottie Young and Kyle Strahm are launching a new fantasy comic book series, "Twig," in May from Image Comics.

DC TV - From THRHBO Max has ordered a second season of James Gunn's DC Extended Universe TV series, "Peacemaker," starring John Cena in the title role.

GEORGE PEREZ - From ComicsBeat: In March, The Hero Initiative will publish a limited edition trade paperback edition of Kurt Busiek and George Perez's seminal crossover comic book, JLA/Avengers.  The publication, which will be limited to 7,000 copies, will benefit Perez who has Stage 3 pancreatic cancer.

COMICS TO ANIMATION - From THRFox is developing a primetime animated series based on cartoonist Berkeley Breathed's iconic and beloved newspaper comic strip, "Bloom County."

SONY SPIDER U - From WeGotThisCovered:  "Spider-Man: No Way Home" has passed "Avatar" at the all-time domestic box office.

MANGA - From ANN:   Shueisha announced that its MANGA Plus app will allow users to read all the English chapters of its simul-release manga series for free for one year.

COMICS - From BleedingCool:  Titan Comics' "Blade Runner 2039" could be the end.

MARVEL - From BleedingCool:  The upcoming comic book, "Punisher," will supposedly do for "The Punisher" character what the 1980s story line, "Born Again," did for "Daredevil."

MARVEL TELEVISION - From Deadline:  Disney is set to get the rights to the six TV series produced for Netflix by the now-defunct Marvel Television.  However, Disney is being quite about what the new streaming home will be for the "Defenders" universe shows: "Daredevil," "Jessica Jones," "Luke Cage," "The Punisher," "Iron Fist," and "The Defenders."

DC CINEMA - From Variety:  Warner Bros. releases a social media video clip that contains the first footage from "Aquaman and the Lost City" and clips from "Black Adam," "The Flash," and "The Batman."

SONY SPIDER U - From VarietyKevin Smith says that 2022 Oscar nominations' snub of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in the "Best Picture" category proves why no one watches the ABC television broadcast of the Oscars ceremony.

DC CINEMA - From IGN:  Actor Paul Dano, who plays "The Riddler" in the upcoming film, "The Batman," says that the Riddler sees himself as a vigilante like Batman.

DARK HORSE COMICS - From BleedingCoolGeof Darrow's comic book series, "Shaolin Cowboy," will return in 2022 from Dark Horse Comics.

DC CINEMA - From WeGotThisCoveredDwayne "The Rock" Johnson teases a "Super Bowl LVI" ad that previews 2022's DC Films: "The Batman," "Black Adam," "The Flash," and "Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom."

DC COMICS - From GamesRadar:  DC Comics' big event after "Death of the Justice League" will be "Dark Crisis."  The seven-issue monthly miniseries will be written by Joshua Williamson and drawn by Daniel Sampere and begin June 2022.

MARVEL - From GamesRadar:  Marvel has provided a first look at Jonathan Hickman and Chris Bachalo's story for "Moon Knight: Black, White and Blood #1."

DC COMICS - From GamesRadar:  DC has released preview images from the upcoming "Batman/Catwoman: World's Finest #1," which is due March 15th.

SONY MARVEL U - From THR:  Oscar-winning actor Russell Crowe is joining Sony's "Spider-Man" spin-off movie, "Kraven the Hunter."

EN MEMORIAM - From 2000AD:  British illustrator and comic book artist, Ian Kennedy, has died at the age of 89, Tuesday, February 7, 2022.  He may be best known for his comics work for the Scottish media company, DC Thompson, especially "Hotspur" and the war comic, "Commando," for which he drew of 1600 covers.  Kennedy also helped launch the 1980s "Dan Dare" revival for "Eagle" magazine.

SONY SPIDER-MAN U - From TheDirect:  "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Part One" producers Chris Miller and Phil Lord talk about the possibilities of a crossover with the live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe multiverse.

DARK HORSE COMICS - From BleedingCool:   Dark Horse will collect the first eight chapters of the Kickstarter-funded comic, "The Winds of Numa Sera," in June 2022.  The series is from creators and writers Morgan Rosenblum and Jonny Handler, and artists Eduard Petrovich, Filipe Andrade, Eduardo Mello, Alessio Moroni, and Valentina Taddeo, and lettered by Ismail Nihad.

MARVEL STUDIOS - From HuffPostChanning Tatum is apparently too traumatized to watch Marvel movies.  The trauma comes from the fact that Disney cancelled his planned "Gambit" film after it bought 20th Century Fox, which was originally developing the film.

BLACK COMICS - From BloodyDisgusting:  Rap music legend, Snoop Dogg, and television writer-producer and comic book writer, Rodney Barnes ("Killadelphia") are united for a horror graphic novel, "Tales from the Crip."  The graphic novel will be published by Barnes' Zombie Love Studios in association with Snoop's Snoopadelic Films and is due Fall 2022.

DC TV - From DCBlog:  Actor Tyler Hoechlin, who plays "Clark Kent/Superman" on The CW's "Superman & Lois," talks about Clark's struggles in Season Two.

SONY MARVEL U - From THR:   Dakota Johnson is in talks to play the title character in "Madame Web," the Sony spinoff centered on the Spider-Man character first introduced in 1980’s "The Amazing Spider-Man No. 210."  Madame Web is a clairvoyant mutant who specializes in predicting the future of Spider-themed superheroes.

DC COMICS - From BleedingCool:  "Deadman Tells The (Spooky) Tales" is a new young reader graphic novel that is also a comic book anthology from DC Comics.  Due Sept. 27th, 2022, it will feature DC Comics character "Deadman" telling spooky tales and ghost stories.

MARVEL - From FanboyPlanet:  The House of Ideas is reviving "Savage Avengers" with a new creative team, writer David Pepose and artist Carlos Magno.  The new series is scheduled to arrive May 4th.

MANGA TO ANIME - From YahooNextShark:  "Uzumaki" creator Junji Ito will voice a character in the anime adaptation of Uzumaki. The series is set to debut October 2022 on Adult Swim's "Toonami" block.

ARCHIE - From BleedingCool: Meet Mike Pellerito is the new editor-in-chief of Archie Comics Publications.

MARVEL - From CBR:    From the House of Ideas, the "New Fantastic Four" returns May 25th, 2022.  That would Logan/Wolverine, Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Daniel Ketch/Ghost Rider, and Bruce Banner/Hulk, as first seen over 30 years ago in "Fantastic Four #347" by the legends Walt Simonson and Art Adams.

BANNED BOOKS - NBCNews:  Banned: Books on race and sexuality are disappearing from Texas schools in record numbers.

EN MEMORIAM - From BleedingCool:  Comic book editor and writer Brian Augustyn died this past weekend at the age of 67.  Many will remember him as the writer of the 1989 Batman one-shot comic book (or graphic novel), "Gotham by Gaslight."

MARVEL - From Gizmodo:   The X-Men, Avengers, and Eternals come together in the Marvel Comics' event series, "Judgment Day," which also sees the X-Men once again participating in the events of the Marvel Universe.

DC CINEMA - From Variety:  Actor Robert Pattinson says that his agent was shocked that Pattison would be taking over the role of "Batman" in director Matt Reeves' "The Batman."

DC TV - From Deadline:   HBO Max's "Titans" Season 4 has added new cast members.  Joseph Morgan as "Sebastian Blood/Brother Blood" and Franka Potente as "May Bennett/Mother Mayhem" have been cast as series regulars. Lisa Ambalavanar as "Jinx" is recurring.

BANNED COMICS - From BBCNews:  Various editions of Art Spiegelman's seminal graphic novel, "Maus: A Survivor's Tale," have topped Amazon sales charts after in the wake of the news that a school board in Tennessee banned the book from school libraries.

MANGA - From BleedingCool:  Yen Press announces three manga titles, five light novels, and a "Delicious in Dungeon" guidebook.

NEWS:

MARVEL - From BleedingCool:  Writer Alyssa Wong and artist Michael YG will debut a brand new hero in the Iron Fist costume Feb. 2022 from Marvel Comics. 

EUROCOMICS - From BleedingCool:  Hexagon Comics USA has announced its 2022 graphic novel release schedule, which begins with January's "Strangers#7: The Return of Himicron."

DC ANIMATION - From DCVideos:  Warner Bros. Entertainment has released a trailer for its animated feature, "Catwoman: Hunted," which arrives on Blu-ray/DVD Feb. 8th, 2022.

MARVEL - From CBR:  "Iron Fist" is a trending topic now that Marvel Comics has revealed that it will replace current Iron Fist, Danny Rand."

MILESTONE - From BleedingCool:   DC Comics is launching a new "Milestone Initiative" to serve "Black and underrepresented" comic book creators, to work with DC Comics, as part of their new talent development program Next Generation DC (NGDC).

COMICS - From Inverse:  Larry Hama is the writer who did much of the early development work on the "G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero" characters, and he wrote Marvel Comics' "G.I. Joe" comic book.  In an interview, Hama says he always wanted the Joe character, "Snake Eyes," to be Asian, which he is in the recent film, "Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins."

COMICS - From BleedingCool:  Legendary Comics, part of the movie producing giant, Legendary Entertainment, explains why it needs to run a Kickstarter campaign to publish its graphic novel adaptation of its film, "Dune."

MARVEL STUDIOS - From Geekfeed:  Once upon a time, "The Wasp" was meant to be the lead of "Marvel's The Avengers" (2012), the first Avengers film.

DC CINEMA - From WeGotThisCovered:  You may remember Warner Bros. announced an "Aquaman" spinoff movie focusing on the msyterious area known as "the Trench," but the project was later cancelled.  "Aquaman" director James Wan has revealed that the Trench movie was really a solo movie focusing on Aquaman nemesis, "Black Manta."

DC CINEMA - From Deadline:  Sources say that Brendan Fraser has been cast in HBO Max's "Batgirl" film as the super-villain, "Firefly."

RUMORS - From TheIlluminerdi:  "Black Adam" producer, Hiram Garcia, is intrigued by DC Comics' character, "The Spectre," as a movie character.

IMAGE COMICS - From BleedingCool:  Image Comics has said that because of ongoing supply issues, for now and the foreseeable future, it will not offer second printings of its titles.

COMICS TO ANIME - From YouTube:  There is now a second trailer for Netflix's anime series, "Super Crooks," which is based on the comic book by Mark Millar and Leinil Francis Yu.  The entire 13-episode series will drop on Netflix Nov. 25th.

MARVEL STUDIOS - From GWW:   The hot rumor is that Marvel Studios is developing a "Hulk" solo film based on the Marvel Comics' event series, "World War Hulk."

COMICS - From BleedingCool:  Carolina Ortiz, an editor at Harper Children's Books, talks about what she is looking for in manuscripts for middle grade and young adult graphic novels.

DC TV - From Deadline:  Actress Ruby Rose was the star of The CW's "Batwoman" show for one season before abruptly leaving the series.  Now, she alleges toxic behavior on the set and launches scathing attacks on several executives involved in the series, including some from The CW and WBTV.

From Deadline:  WBTV, the studio behind The CW's "Batwoman," releases a statement that hits back at actress Ruby Rose and her account of her time on the series.

DC CINEMA - From Deadline:  "Wonder Woman" actress Gal Gadot says that she was shocked when director Joss Whedon "threatened my career" during the notorious reshoots for Warner Bros.' film, "Justice League."

DIGITAL MANGA - From Hypebeast:  NBA stars and twin brothers, Brook Lopez (Milwaukee Bucks) and Robin Lopez (Washington Wizards), have joined their older brother, Christopher Lopez, in creating a basketball manga, entitled "Transition Game."  It is drawn by manga artist, TATSUZ.  He was the chief assistant of the great Takehiko Inoue during the production of Inoue's legendary basketball manga, "Slam Dunk."

VIZ MEDIA - From CBR:   VIZ Media recently announced "The Liminal Zone," a collection of horror manga shorts from acclaimed author Junji Ito to be release in summer 2022.

MARVEL STUDIOS - From THR:   This article looks at the early reactions to Marvel Studios' "Eternals."  Many sampled in this article are very positive.

DC COMICS - From BleedingCool:  Colorist Gabe Eltaeb lets his anti-gay "Comicsgate" flag fly in rant against the new Superman (Jonathan Kent).  But people might want to think before they attack their employer, especially DC Comics.

DC COMICS - From BleedingCool:   Writer Garth Ennis and artist Gerry Brown launch "Peacemaker: Disturbing the Peace," featuring "Peacemaker," the breakout character from the film, "The Suicide Squad."

MARVEL - From PW:   Penguin Classics and Marvel Comics will collaborate on a new series, the "Penguin Classics Marvel Collection."  This initiative marks the first time that Penguin Classics has published comics.  The first three books in the series, "Black Panther," "Captain America," and "The Amazing Spider-Man," will be published on June 14 of next year, in both a paperback sporting Penguin's iconic black spine and a collectible hardcover edition. 

DC COMICS - From 13thDimension:   DC Comics is going to start reprinting the "Silver Age" Batman comic books, beginning with the earliest issues from that era.  Due in July 2022, "Batman: The Silver Age Omnibus Vol. 1" will reprint Batman #101-116 and Detective Comics #233-257.

MARVEL - From Marvel:   The fan-favorite "Silver Surfer" comic book creative team of writer Ron Marz and artist Ron Lim return for the five-issue miniseries, "Silver Surfer: Rebirth."  The first issue goes on sale Jan. 19th, 2022.

DIAMOND - From BleedingCool:   Diamond Comic Distributors has just acquired ownership of the Atlanta-based Collectible Grading Authority (CGA), an industry leader in action figure and video game grading. 

MARVEL - From BleedingCool:  Marvel Comics has released details about writer Chris Claremont's story for "X-Men: Legends #12," which is due Feb. 2022.  It will be drawn by Scot Eaton, and will star Nightcrawler and Kitty Pryde.

DC COMICS - From Deadline:  In an upcoming issue of "Superman: Son of Kal-El," Superman will come out as bisexual.  The current Superman is young Jon Kent, the son of Clark Kent and Lois Lane.

LOCAL COMIC SHOP DAY - From BleedingCool:   BOOM! Studios adds three comics to its LCSD 2021 (Nov. 24th) offerings.  They are "Magic: Master Of Metal #1" cardstock cover by Adam Gorham, a "House Of Slaughter #1" second printing cardstock cover by Jae Lee and June Chang, and "Regarding The Matter Of Oswald's Body #1" cardstock cover by Ryan Sook.

VIZ MEDIA/MARVEL - From BleedingCool:   VIZ Media has announced that "Yu-Gi-Oh!" creator, Kazuki Takahashi, is working on a new manga.  Entitled "Secret Reverse," it will feature Marvel characters Spider-Man and Iron Man and will be published in the Summer of 2022.

IMAGE COMICS - From BleedingCool:  Writer Brian K. Vaughn has revealed that his hit comic book, "Saga," will return with issue #55 on Jan. 26th, 2022.

IMAGE/SUBSTACK - From Substack:  Writer Rodney Barnes announces upcoming comics projects from both Image Comics and Substack.  The new comics include spinoffs of his hit vampire comic book, "Killadelphia" (Image Comics).

MARVEL - From BleedingCool:   Marvel Comics may be announcing some big news on Tues., Aug. 31st.

DC CINEMA - From ComicBook:   Henry Braham, the cinematographer for DC Films' "The Flash," says the movie is "complex" and is "not really a comic book movie."

DC TV - From Deadline:   Actors Neil Hopkins, who plays the villain "Sportsmaster," and Joy Osmanski, who plays "Tigress," will become series regulars on Season 3 of The CW's "DC's Stargirl."

DC TV - From DCBlog:   The CW announced it will kick off Season 8 of "The Flash" with a five-part epic event that will bring more than a half-dozen heroes and villains from throughout the Arrowverse to Central City for a massive story line called “Armageddon.”

SONY MARVEL U - From WeGotThisCovered:   Sony Pictures may movie its sequel, "Venom: Let There Be Carnage," again, this time to 2022.

IMAGE COMICS - From BleedingCool:   Actor John Leguizamo has his own comic book coming out from Image Comics.  Entitled "PhenomX," it features a Latinx superhero.

COMICS TO FILM - From Variety:  Actor Jake Gyllenhaal is set to star in a feature film adaptation of "Oblivion Song," the comic book by writer Robert Kirkman (the writer of "The Walking Dead" comic book) and artist Lorenzo De Felici.

MARVEL - From Nerdist:   Released 30 years ago this past week: How 1991's "X-Men #1" changed Marvel Comics' mutants forever.

MARVEL - From BleedingCool:   Marvel Comics is giving "The Thing" of the Fantastic Four his own comic book series, which will be written by novelist Walter Mosley ("Devil in a Blue Dress").

MANGA - From CBR:  Grammy-winning recording artist Ed Sheeran recently teamed up with Japanese illustrator and manga artist Rui Ikeda to release an anime adaptation of the music video for his latest single, "Bad Habits."

DARK HORSE - From BleedingCool:   Brian Michael Bendis is moving his creator-owned titles under the "Jinxworld" banner to Dark Horse Comics.  His new miniseries, with artist Stephen Byrne, "Joy Operations," starts in November.

MARVEL - From GamesRadar:   Novelist Christopher Ruocchio will write a Thor story for "Avengers #50" that Steve McNiven will draw.

MARVEL - From BleedingCool:  Joe Quesada, John Romita, Jr., and Scott Hanna are producing a new 9/11 memorial comic that will appear in select Marvel Comics titles published on Sept. 8th, 2021.

MANGA TO FILM - From THR:   Shinsuke Sato will direct Legendary Entertainment's live-action version of the smash hit manga, "My Hero Academia."  The English-language project currently does not have a writer attached to it.

IMAGE COMICS TO FILM - From THR: Brian Tucker, who penned the 2013 Russell Crowe and Mark Wahlberg crime thriller, "Broken City," has been hired to write the script for Todd McFarlane and Jason Blum's long-developing "Spawn" reboot film.

DC TV - From Deadline:   Vincent Kartheiser, who plays the villain Scarecrow on Season 3 of HBO Max's "Titans, has triggered at least two complaints and two internal investigations by Warner Bros Television. The allegations, which are believed to have included disruptive, juvenile behavior and inappropriate comments, were investigated by WBTV’s Labor Relations department.

DC COMICS - From EW:  "Dark Knights of Steel" is set in a new DC Comics medieval fantasy world.  The 12-issue miniseries will debut soon.

DC COMICS - From BleedingCool:  Actor Danny DeVito has written a "Penguin" story that will appear in the comic book, "Gotham City Villains Anniversary #1."  DeVito played the Penguin in director Tim Burton's 1992 film, "Batman Returns."

SONY MARVEL U - From Variety:   Sony has changed the release date for "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" again.  Sony has moved the film's release date from Sept. 24th to October 15th.

From Esquire:  In an interview with "Esquire," "Venom" star Tom Hardy says that Sony is very happy with "Venom: Let There Be Carnage.'

IMAGE COMICS - From THR:   Todd McFarlane's "King Spawn" has sold 497,000 copies, which is Image's biggest monthly title release in 25 years. "King Spawn #1" actually goes on sale August 25, 2021.

MARVEL - From BleedingCool:  Apparently, WalMart has obtained and is selling Marvel retailer variant covers in its three-pack offerings.  This includes variants that are exclusive to particular retailers.

SUBSTACK - From BleedingCool:  Skottie Young is moving his comic book, "I Hate Fairyland," from Image Comics to whatever Substack Comics is.

CONVENTIONS - From BleedingCool:   In 2022, six of Wizard World's top conventions will be rebranded as "Fan Expo" events.  Is this a prelude to Fan Expo taking over Wizard World.

MARVEL - From BleedingCool:   Captain America and Iron Man have been teaming up forever.  But they will team-up in a miniseries for the first time in November with "Captain America/Iron Man," from the creative team of Derek Landy and Angel Unzueta.

DC/LGBTQ - From YahooEntertainment:   So Tim Drake, the third character to carry the mantle of Batman's sidekick, Robin, is officially bisexual.

MARVEL - From BleedingCool:   Celebrated alt-comics creator, Ho Che Anderson ("King: A Comics Biography of Martin Luther King, Jr."), is writing his first Marvel Comics title, "Luke Cage: City of Fire."  The three-issue miniseries will be drawn by Taurin Clarke and is due in October.

FANTAGRAPHICS BOOKS - From SlashFilm:   Fantagraphics Books will collect all of Underground Cartoonist Gilbert Shelton's "The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers" comics in a four-volume set.  The first volume arrives January 2022.  There is also an eight-episode animated series based on the brothers from Lionsgate TV that is due to arrive by the end of 2021.

FANTAGRAPHICS BOOKS - From TheBeat:  There is a trailer for Fantagraphics new, hardcover edition of R. Kikuo Johnson's 2006 original graphic novel, "Night Fisher."

COMICS TO FILM - From Deadline:  Paramount Pictures have chosen brothers Colin and Casey Jost had write a new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movies.

MARVEL - From BleedingCool:   "Marvel Legends" is a new line of comic book miniseries from Marvel Comics, intended to be collected in paperback.  The target audience is middle-grade graphic novel readers in bookstores, book fairs, and libraries.  Each miniseries will retell or reboot the origin of a well known Marvel character.  And it will begin in October with "Black Panther Legends," a four-issue series by novelist Tochi Onyebuchi and artist Setor Fiadzigbey that will retell the origin of the Black Panther.

DC COMICS - From DCBlog:   DC Comics and Walmart unite for the "My First Comic" program. Each comic book is a 48-page two-in-one flipbook featuring comics stories and activity pages.  They arrive at participating Walmart stores and Walmart.com the week of August 3rd, 2021.

COMICS TO FILM - From YahooEntertainment:  "Cowboys & Aliens" creator, Scott Mitchell Rosenberg, explains why director Jon Favreau's expensive 2011 film adaptation of the comic book never got a sequel.
