Titan Comics to Publish "Family Guy" Comic Book

‘GIGGITY GIGGITY’! Titan Comics Set To Launch All New Family Guy Series!

Titan Comics and Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products are pleased to announce the U.S. launch of the Family Guy comic series, based on the award-winning hit animated TV show from the mind of Seth MacFarlane.

The Family Guy comic series will follow the Griffin family in a string of brand new outrageous storylines, along with fellow Quahog residents Cleveland Brown, Joe Swanson and everyone’s favorite ladies man, Glen "giggity" Quagmire.

Family Guy has become one of America’s favorite animated TV shows of all time, and was named one of TV Guide’s “25 Top Cult Shows Ever!”. The show boasts over 27 million fans on Facebook, and has been nominated for 13 Emmy® Awards including Outstanding Comedy Series.

Artwork for the Family Guy comic series is provided by comic artists SL Gallant (G.I. Joe, Torchwood) and Anthony Williams (Judge Dredd, Superman, Batman).

Family Guy comic #1 will be on sale and available on US newsstands and in specialty comic book stores beginning on July 27, 2011.

About Family Guy:
In 2009, FAMILY GUY earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series, making it only the second animated series in television history to be honored with such a distinction. Since its debut in 1999, the animated series has attracted an impressively loyal following of devoted fans and has sold nearly 25 million combined DVD units, making it the largest-selling TV series ever.

The show follows the adventures of lovable oaf PETER GRIFFIN (Seth MacFarlane) and his hilariously odd family of middle-class New Englanders. LOIS (Alex Borstein) is Peter’s loving wife, a former Miss Teen Rhode Island who rules the roost but is one step away from a nervous breakdown. Then there are their kids: frumpy 17-year-old MEG (Mila Kunis), the family’s punching bag; 13-year-old CHRIS (Seth Green), a kid who doesn’t understand girls, much less the evil monkey who recently emerged from his closet; and 1-year-old STEWIE (MacFarlane), a diabolically clever baby whose burgeoning sexuality is very much a work in progress. Rounding out the Griffin household is BRIAN (MacFarlane), the family dog, a member of Mensa with a penchant for dry martinis and dumb blondes.

FAMILY GUY is a 20th Century Fox Television production. Seth MacFarlane is creator/executive producer. Mark Hentemann and Steve Callaghan serve as executive producers/showrunners, while David A. Goodman, Chris Sheridan and Danny Smith are executive producers.

  1. This is one of those TV shows that you would have thought would have been the other way around. I can't get enough of these shows, besides HBO TV series True Blood, Treme, and Boardwalk Empire there is nothing better to watch then animation domination. With DISH I can go and watch previous episodes of Family Guy, Cleveland Show, and American Dad at any time. DISH customers have access to all of there channels using the sling adapter and 722 series DVR, and you can access DVR content. I talked to a co-worker last night at DISH and she DISH has a new 922 DVR that has sling capabilities built in. Come and check this out www.dish.com/TVeverywhere.
