IMAGE COMICS - From ComingSoon: FX/Hulu has released a trailer for Ryan Murphy's upcoming television series, "The Beauty," which stars Evan Peters, Ashton Kutcher, and Anthony Ramos, to name a few. This new TV show is based on the Image Comics title, "The Beauty," from writer-artist Jeremy Haun and writer Jason A. Hurley.
DC STUDIOS - From Deadline: German actor, Lars Eidinger, will play the villain, "Brainiac," in director James Gunn's "Supeman" and "Lex Luthor" movie, "Man of Tomorrow." The film is due in theaters July 9, 2027.
COMIC STRIPS - From THR: Sony Music now owns a majority stake in "Peanuts Holdings, LLC," the holding company for "Charlie Brown," "Snoopy," and the rest of the "Peanuts" characters from the legendary, long-running, daily newspaper comic strip, "Peanuts," created by the late Charles Schulz (1922-2000) . They already owned 39 percent, and paid 457 million dollars for another 41 percent of the holding company. Sony Music now owns 80 percent with the Schulz family retaining a 20 percent ownership stake.
DC STUDIOS - From ComicBook: Rumors say that Oscar-nominated actress, Scarlett Johansson, will play "Gilda Gold/Gilda Dent" in director Matt Reeves' "The Batman II." Gold is the wife of Gotham City District Attorney Harvey Dent. Apparently, Gilda became the serial killer, "Holiday," in Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale's 1996-97 miniseries, "Batman: The Long Halloween."
From EW: First teaser trailer for the 2026 "Supergirl" film reveals actress Milly Alcock in the full Supergirl costume as she takes flight. It also reveals actor Jason Momoa as the DC Comics anti-hero, "Lobo."
From Deadline: Via a promotional reel, HBO provides the first teaser footage of the "Green Lantern" upcoming TV series, "Lanterns." The footage features a surprise interaction between Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) and John Stewart (Aaron Pierre).
