DC STUDIOS - From Variety: HBO Max's DC Studio's original series, "Lanterns," has had 9.3 milllion viewers during its first three days of availability. This is the best debut for a DC Studios series and the fifth highest HBO Max debut.
MARVEL - From THR: Marvel Studios has finally revealed the cast of its "X-Men" reboot (or at least some of it) at Disney's "D23 2026." The movie will star Sadie Sink ("Jean Grey"), Kit Connor ("Cyclops"), Christopher Abbott ("Prof. X"), Samara Weaving ("Emma Frost"), Inde Navarrette ("Rogue"), and Maya Boyd ("Storm"). Adam Driver is also among the cast as the villain, "Mr. Sinister," with the film landing a release date of May 5, 2028.
DC COMICS - From DCBlog: Writer Kami Garcia and artist Gabriel Picolo say good buy to their "Teen Titans" young adult graphic novel series, which began with 2019's "Teen Titans: Raven." The final installment is "Teen Titans: Together," which is currently out.
MARVEL - From Marvel: The world of Star Wars and the world of Marvel Comics will come together for the first time. They will do so in the five-issue comic book miniseries, "Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles." Filmmaker Kevin Smith will write and artist David Marquez will draw the comic book. "Star Wars/Marvel: Hope Assembles #1" will launch in January 2027.
DC COMICS - From AIPT: This September (2026), DC Comics is celebrating the 100th birthday of comics legend, Joe Kubert (September 19, 1926), with the release of three special collections. One of them is "DC Special #5 Facsimile Edition." Published in October 1969, "DC Special #5" was a comic book that reprinted several of Kubert's stories. The other two celebratory publications are "Joe Kubert: 100 Years – A Life in Covers #1" and "Sgt. Rock by Joe Kubert: Deluxe Edition." Kubert died August 12, 2012.
AWARDS - From CriticsChoice: The winners at the 2026 / 6th Annual Choice Super Awards have been announced. DC Studios' "Superman" family picks up three awards. "Superman" (2025) is "Best Superhero Movie." It's star, David Corenswet, wins "Best Actor in a Superhero Movie." Milly Alcock wins "Best Actress in a Superhero Movie" for "Supergirl" (2026). According to the "Critics Choice" website, the "Critics Choice Super Awards honor "the most popular, fan-obsessed genres across both television and movies, including Superhero, Science Fiction/Fantasy, Horror, and Action."
MARVEL STUDIOS - From Deadline: The site is reporting that actress Samara Weaving ("Ready or Not" movies) has been cast as "Emma Frost" in Marvel Studios' "X-Men" reboot.
MARVEL - From ComicsBeat: Marvel Comics is launching a new Spider-Woman series from writer Dan Watters and artist Andrea Broccardo. "Spider-Woman #1" arrives in comic shops this November.
