Brabner is best known for her association with her late husband, the writer-publisher, Harvey Pekar (1939-2010), and his comic book, "American Splendor." Brabner also edited Eclipse Comics' anthology, "Real War Stories" (1987-91). She also co-wrote with Alan Moore the 1988 graphic novel, "Brought to Light" (1988).
