MARVEL/FANTAGRAPHICS - From BleedingCool: Fantagraphics Books will publish a "Lost Marvels" one-shot for "Free Comic Book Day 2025." The comic book will promote Fantagraphics line of "Lost Marvels" hardcover anthologies that will publish odd Marvel comic book stories, which includes the work of such luminaries as Howard Chaykin and the late Neal Adams. "Lost Marvels No. 1 Tower of Shadows Hardcover" will arrive March 4th, 2025. "Free Comic Book Day 2025" is May 3rd.
BOOM STUDIOS - From BleedingCool: BOOM! Studios has let their license to publish comic books based on the television properties, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Firefly" (both creatred by Joss Whedon) lapse.
MARVEL - From BleedingCool: Cinematic baddie, "the Predator" has taken on "Wolverine" and Black Panther" in Marvel Comics miniseries. Now, 2025 will welcome "Predator Vs. Spider-Man."
DC TV - From Deadline: Actor Tom Cavanagh made his debut on The CW's "Superman & Lois" as TV journalist, "Gordon Godrey." Cavanagh has previously appeared in The CW's superhero series, "The Flash" and "Arrow."
COMICS - From BleedingCool: Paramount, Walmart, and Mego are joing SP Media/Atlas Comics in reviving the late Martin Goodman's defunct comic book publishing line, "Atlas/Seaboard." Goodman was the founder of Marvel Comics and set up Atlas in 1974.
COMICS - From BleedingCool: Papercutz has announced a new publishing initiative for the "Smurfs" graphic novels, with "The Smurfs Archive Vol 1" in February 2025. This will be the first time that the original Smurfs comics, created by Belgian comics artist, Peyo, beginning in 1958, have been published chronologically in English, and the first collection will include over 300 pages of story and historical commentary.

EN MEMORIAM - From BleedingCool: The fantasy and science fiction artist, Greg Hildebrandt, has died at the age of 85, Thursday, October 31, 2024. He was best known for collaborations with his twin brother, the late Tim Hildebrandt (1939-2006). The brothers came to fame in the 1970s for the art they produced for the "Lord of the Rings" calendars in 1977, 1978, and 1979. They also produced an iconic movie poster for the United Kingdom release of "Star Wars" (1977). As a solo artist, Greg drew a cover art for Dynamite Entertainemtn, IDW Publishing, and Marvel.
