Some of you dear readers may be only old enough to know Roman Polanski (if you know of him) for winning a "Best Director" Oscar in 2003 for The Pianist (2002). However, Polanski has had a criminal case for a sexual offense hanging over his head since 1977. He's lived in Paris for decades to avoid an arrest warrant in the U.S.
